Most people do not need a cabinet full of bottles. They need a few well-chosen basics, food that does the heavy lifting, and a quick check of what is actually low. Here is where Dr. Ty Tallman suggests most adults begin.

The three basics

O.N.E.™ Multivitamin bottle
Daily foundationO.N.E.™ MultivitaminPure EncapsulationsOne capsule a day. 30, 60 or 120 capsules.

Why it is here. In the COSMOS trial of more than 21,000 older adults, an ordinary daily multivitamin modestly slowed epigenetic aging clocks and gave a small lift to memory and thinking. It is reasonable insurance against a real gap, especially if you train hard, work long hours, eat a narrow diet or take a GLP-1.

EPA/DHA essentials bottle
Omega-3 fish oilEPA/DHA essentialsPure EncapsulationsAbout $0.39 a day in the 180-softgel size.

Why it is here. In the DO-HEALTH trial, marine omega-3 slowed biological aging on three of four clocks over three years. Omega-3 fats are anti-inflammatory fats for the heart and brain. If you eat salmon, sardines or mackerel twice a week, you may already be covered. This is a moderate dose; higher doses are a conversation with your physician.

Ascorbic Acid capsules bottle
AntioxidantAscorbic Acid capsulesPure Encapsulations1,000 mg vitamin C per capsule. Buffered version available for sensitive stomachs.

Why it is here. Vitamin C is an antioxidant that helps counter oxidative stress, and it is the raw material your body uses to build collagen for skin, joints and vessels. Food comes first: citrus, bell peppers, berries and greens. A supplement fills the gap on the days the plate falls short.

Founded in science, honestly

Large trials show the biggest benefits where there is a real gap to correct. Vitamin D changed biology in people who were deficient and did little in people who were not. That is why the smartest next step after the basics is a short lab panel, a clinical consultation and sound advice based on research: vitamin D, iron, B12 and magnesium, so we correct what is truly low and skip what is not.
