Testosterone and hormone therapy in Mesa, Arizona

Mesa is home. Our office is at 1910 S. Stapley Drive, Suite 120, in the Stapley corridor between Southern and US-60, and if you live in Mesa you are probably ten or fifteen minutes away right now. That matters more than people realize, because the single biggest reason patients quit hormone therapy is not side effects or cost. It is that the follow-up became inconvenient, they skipped a lab, then skipped a refill, and six months later they were back where they started.

If you are in Mesa, that problem mostly disappears. You can be in and out on a lunch break.

What we treat

For men: testosterone replacement, and everything that comes with doing it correctly. That means a real diagnosis first, not a questionnaire and a shot. Fatigue that sleep does not fix, strength and muscle you are losing despite training, brain fog, low drive, mood that flattened out, weight settling around the middle. Low testosterone causes all of those, and so do half a dozen other things we need to rule out before I put you on anything.

For women: perimenopause and menopause management, estrogen and progesterone, and yes, testosterone, which women need too and are almost never offered. If your doctor handed you an antidepressant for what turned out to be a hormone problem, you are in very common company. Start with our page on the signs you may need hormone support or what menopause actually is.

Alongside that, in the same office: peptides, weight management with GLP-1 medications, PRP, aesthetics including Botox and filler, and surgical liposuction with fat transfer. Hormones are the foundation. The rest builds on it.

Why a physician, and why that is not a small detail

Mesa has no shortage of places that will sell you testosterone. Walk into most of them and you will be seen by a nurse practitioner or a physician assistant working under a medical director who signs charts remotely and may never lay eyes on you. Those clinicians can be excellent. But hormone therapy is not a product, it is a long-term medical relationship, and the person managing it should be the person who examined you.

I have been doing hormone replacement for more than twenty years. I see my own patients. When your hematocrit climbs, or your estradiol runs high, or your PSA moves, I am the one reading it and deciding what to do. That is the entire difference, and it is worth understanding before you choose anyone. We wrote about it here: doctor or nurse practitioner for hormone replacement.

How it actually goes

First visit, in the office. We talk through your history and symptoms, examine you, and order comprehensive labs, not the two-line panel most primary care offices run. Roughly one to three weeks later we sit down with the results and build the plan together. Thirty days after starting anything new, we check in and adjust, because the first month is where the fine tuning happens. After that, every six months, ongoing.

Being local means those follow-ups can be in person, which I prefer for the first year. After that most Mesa patients still come in, simply because it is easy.

Medications and supplements come from us

Your prescriptions are compounded through a partner pharmacy at the strength your labs call for, not a one-size dose off a shelf. The supplements we recommend come through the office as professional-grade, standardized products, because the retail supplement aisle is genuinely unreliable about what is in the bottle. If I am going to build part of your plan around something, I want to know it contains what it says.

Se habla español

Mesa has a large Spanish-speaking community and very few hormone practices that serve it in Spanish. We do, in the office and in writing. Vea esta página en español.

The next step

Memberships start at $149 per month and include the labs tied to your hormone care. Call 480-485-2197 or book a consult. You will leave that first visit knowing what your numbers actually are and what your options actually are, which for most people is already more than they have gotten anywhere else.
